The State Games of Tennessee is an annual multi-sport event that brings together athletes from across the state to compete in a wide range of sports. The event celebrates the spirit of competition and community, offering athletes of all ages and skill levels the opportunity to showcase their abilities. The newly established State Games of Tennessee, an amateur Olympic-style multi-sport event, is set to debut in Jackson, TN, in June 2025. The event is modeled after the Olympic Games and is designed solely for the residents of the state. It is part of a nationwide network of state games under the National Congress of State Games, which is affiliated with the U.S. Olympic Committee. Gold, silver, and bronze medals will be awarded to the top three athletes or teams in each division across all sports. Furthermore, medalists in the State Games will have the opportunity to compete in the prestigious State Games of America, a national Olympic-style event held every two years. State Games of America will be held in State College, PA at Penn State University. Coach Marlin Dotson will be the commissioner of the basketball.
